Writing a letter to prospective employers

Hi Everyone

I am currently trying to write an eye catching letter that I can send along with my CV to hotels in the norfolk area.

But I am struggling, I know what I want to say and what I want but can't find those special words.

So far I have got

I have one you could copy. My daughter uses it for admin jobs and is very successful with interviews. I also do a good CV if you want to send me your curent one I will take a look, if you like, and rehash it. Ive also interviewed loads.

My CV and covering letter has never been updated since....errr....I have no idea when.

My situation is similar so far the fact that I am trying to draft a letter to any housing associations I can get details for to ask in the basic form- WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET INTO SOCIAL HOUSING. I have 7 months experience in Housing associations but not in the department of planning and enabling- so like housing officers and maybe to progress into planning once I have done postgraduate training- my degree is poorly related to Social Housing!

How do you word a letter or basically TRAIN ME, I WILL WORK REALLY HARD FOR YOU??? They never taught us how to write these things at school/uni- damn!
