CCTV waste of money
CCTV we have more CCTV than any other country in the world.
So has this huge investment of our hard earned money paid off,er well not quite. Seems that criminals are not scared of being arrested by a lump of metal stuck on a lamp post. Now in times gone by one used to see a bobby walking the streets,they were even known to apprehend criminals unlike there high tech friends. Anyone know what a police officer looks like.? A few years ago my office was broken into whilst I was out of the country a neighbouring building had caught the thieves on CCTV and handed us a copy. After endless calls to the police to give them this evidence and repeatedly being told they would call in to collect it a police officer did finally arrive... but no he didn't want to look at or take the video, he was there to do a survey!!
So I think you have a point there Alvin!

In my 'other' job I teach security students in a FE college, Our security courses have increased by 400% over the last few years with many of our students earn £30k+ per year.
So crime does pay - just don't be the victim. Robert

Alvin CCTV has its uses, have used recordings as evidence in court to many serious assaults, vandalism, theft hb's, hbwi's, vehicle and shed olp's etc....
on the other hand it gives some of the best entertainment ever, especially from drunks who are totally unaware of the cams. Its amazing how "rubber" the human body is when stotting off everything in their path.
