Recent story regarding the huge increase to possible £1.50/ltr by end of the year.....local news interviewed a haulage firm whereby their 60000ltr diesel tank cost £11k more to fill and this naturally has been passed onto the customer

I think the fuel price is going to be the biggy of the year. And if they increase the duty on fuel then it's purley asking for trouble.

The HGV's get 1mile a litre, if they are set up for maximum fuel efficiency, they drive with the curtain open as this increases the fuel efficiency. I would faint at the thought of a monthly HGV fuel bill!!!

If duty on fuel does go up, the knock on effects could be devastating!

I cant see people spending money on having their cars cleaned thats for sure

I am astounded that no action has been taken

remember not so long back there were threats of bringingthe country to a standstill by the haulage people with the threat of petrol reaching was it 80p / ltr

Naturally the goverment has slowly increased the price ....but am still amazed that people are content particulary the haulage trade

There was one the week before Christmas, A HGV go slow/convoy through London, and on the major motorways. but as it was a protest, and not a blockage, the media didn't give it much attention. But the Road Haulage Industry supported it big time.

I don't expect they protest so passively next time.
