Picture choosing help please or just some direction
Hi
As I am having a new website designed I am now in the process of looking for some pictures, but I'm drawing a blank.
The new site is going to be fresh and clean, and I shall be branching out into the gift market so I don't want the pictures on the main homepage to be too dark and scary, they need to be inviting.
I have seen this one but still think it may be too dark.
These are the keywords I have come up with - spells, witchcraft, magical, mystical, fairies, wizards, witches.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or help me out, pretty please

I quite like that pic personally Nicks and I think it portrays the message very nicely. As for keywords, erm are you a black witch or a white witch? Do you praactice Wicker or intend to have info relating to it on the site? What about ghosts, ghools and goblins? Who's the site going to be aimed at? Adults or children or both?
Great images Sarah! I guess it depends on who she's aiming the site at as to which theme she chooses. The cartoony one would be best for kids and the spells book best for older chidren and/or even adults. That said, look what happened with Harry Potter
I'm aiming for teenagers and people interested in Witchcraft. I don't practice or sell anything to do with the dark side of Witchcraft, (if I do it is only by accident).

Maybe it's something you should think about then Nicks...you could blog about it's origins, paganism and alleged 'dark side' too. I don't know too much about witchcraft but have always believed that Wicker was a big part of it?
Now you have an idea of what would work, take a photograph of your own products in a similar scene. That way you are not using stock photography which might also be used by your competitors, you have a photo that is more unique to your site, and you'll actually be showing products that people can buy from you.
