Hi All,

I have been reading post after post on here with great interest, awe and admiration. You are all very savvy business people and I feel a little green in comparison.

As such I am not going to be backward in asking for suggestions to gain more sales for my online store. I have Google Adwords and regularly network around the web!

All suggestions , even for local marketing ideas would be greatly appreciated and warmly received.

Obviously I'm going to look at this from an SEO/SEM angle but just looking at your site you could get that optimised because I have absolutely no doubt you are missing out on vital sales.

I know your running AdWords but all the traffic you receive through that could be free traffic and potentially more conversions.

In turn that would free up some of your AdWord budget to advertise elsewhere.

It would be wise to consider investing in SEO for the long term benefits.

I am a bit of a computer idiot! there I said it! can't think of a kinder description.

I did my site myself with no experience at all and sadly do not have a budget for anything else at this time.

What I really need it spoonfed little ideas to help me achieve a little at a time.

My business is small compared to all of yours.

I don't really know how customizable store2go.net is, I have never heard of it before to be honest, but if you like I can give you a few simple pointers in the right direction which you could implement.

I'm sure some other people here will have other good advice on how you can drive up sales.

I really like your site. However just try to do a bit of SEO work each day and it will work wonders. I have no idea about tags, meta thingeys but everyone on here is willing to help and will explain in non-geeky words as well

One of the first things I would suggest would be to knock up a white box for your photos. This can be as simple as a wooden frame with white cotton sheets, because the images are not that good

The products look great, but the presentation of them isn't really in lie with the quality, and the perception of the product is suffering IMO.

I agree with KP above that SEo would help. who does your site for you? is it yourself, family, or do you pay a web designer to make changes? Either way, getting an SEO report carried out might be a sensible option, as this will pretty much tell you exactly what you need to do.

Ok, I've got 4 things judging from a quick look:

1) Change the font, the current one isn't appropriate to this kind of site, suggest a switch to Arial.

2) Change the banner so the change in colour is in the centre, (Would be happy to do this for you if you like)

3) Remove the visitor counter on the right hand side, I believe it cheapens the site.

4) Try and get some better quality photos. They can make all the difference when the consumer is looking to purchase something.

A lot of people suggested a visitor counter, may I ask why you feel it cheapens the site?

Can you explain why the font is inappropriate?

I would like to understand why these things are perceived as wrong so I understand why I am making mistakes with presentation.

Hey,

I feel that the font looks a bit 'regal', something a bit more rounded may be more inviting and encourage more people to order.

I also feel the visitor counter cheapens the site because it appears as quite amatuerish (Not trying to say anything by the way) as you don't see many business sites with one included,
