    Default Excel help!

As many of you already know I'm having my website redesigned and now my designer is asking me for a full price list so he can integrate the checkout! Previously, I was doing this by hand but it's taking forever and it's time which I don't have at the moment. I know I could do this dead quick in Excel but I haven't got a clue how to make formulas. I just need a simple formula creating which is X plus 50% plus £4. Would anyone who knows what they're doing be willing to help me out with this and send me over the file? I'd be dead grateful!

Hi - each cell you want to apply the formula needs to have the following:

    = x * 1.5 + 4

If the value x is in cell A1 and you are placing the result in cell A2 this would then be:

    = A1 * 1.5 + 4

Hope that helps, but I can email you an example if you would like. Just PM me.

    Peter

Sorry, should have done as Phil did - I didn't realise you could attach files to posts. Anyway, the same result.

Grrrrr, just tired to open the file and because I've got office 2003 it won't let me work in it. It's saying I need to download a compatibility pack but nothing happens when I click the option to download it!

Lol, it was defo a worry to me Phil, didn't know how I was going to get it done on time and I've had a fair few weeks to do it too. I'm gonna get cracking on it later and then start on the copy later this week which will also take forever and ever. Facebook has taken over my whole life lately......I've been having far too much of a good time going out most nights. I'm gonna have to pack it in, I'm exhausted and getting far too old, not to mention getting no work done! Thanks again Phil, you're a diamond!
