Should I teach them the back office systems first or the "in the field

I would start with the back office first, get them to learn how you do things from the office. That way they have some knowledge of how the info you gleam from "in the field" incoroprates into the whole investigation.

Out of interest PI guy, Do you do any forms of computer hacking? Not trying to incinuate anything with this post, just curious

well the 1st is female, not many gcse's but very streetwise, the 2nd male is a boffin 15 gcse's A's in every subject but has led a sheltered life.

I plan on them answering the phones for the 1st week and learning all the rules and law about process serving

I do computer forensics

What might me quite cool for them is perhaps on the first morning take them out and about and show them the work you do. This will get them interested and wanting to get out and do it. Then have them on the backend stuff for the first week as you say, then the next take them out all week. That way they won't get bored in their first week as they know the juicy stuff is yet to come!

I agree with that.........wet their appetite first, and then show them the boring office stuff......

Sal,

Sure they are but are all your H&S stuff up to date and cover young persons?
You should also be compliant with the young persons act

It sounds complex stuff but isnt really....happy to send you copies of our stuff that we use in our own work experience program should you wish?
