I need some feedback and comments on my business idea. My idea is a food outlet selling mini size food: Mini burgers, mini sandwich, mini drinks, etc. Good things can come in small package. Bigger isn't always better. A wide selection of bite-size burgers, sandwiches, cakes and desserts can tantalize the taste buds of food lovers. Serving mini-size food portions is a niche concept that could definitely take off.
For the cost a normal size burger, customers can mix-and-match two to three mini burgers and sandwiches. In additional, the small serving can be a great for calorie-conscience consumers. Cute and tiny things appeal consumers. Mini burgers answer the call of diners looking for quick, fun bite that packs delicious burger flavor.
I have placed my business idea on Gogme.biz, a free business-oriented online community that focuses on entrepreneurial learning and turning business ideas into reality. Anyone in the community can propose business ideas which others can brainstorm, vote and rate. The most popular ideas will be implemented collaboratively by site members who sign up to become co-owners of a new business entity. Decisions are made collectively over the internet and daily business activities are updated through blogs and twitters. 100% of the profits are distributed among co-owners. Points are rewarded for participation. Co-owners can use points to bid for franchises or takeovers at reasonable rates once the co-created businesses become profitable and sustainable.
I don't think the costs would work out as you say. Having 4 different items which total the same size of a regular item would have atleast double the cost of the larger item if they were mini replicas. If you served a piece of a regular sized item (slice etc) costs would be closer but I don't see the benefits.
Not convinced about the gogme thing, but in terms of the idea itself, I read about it taking off in America last year and remembered the web addy http://www.minnies.com/ Might be worth you having a nosey
