Does anyone use Linkedin? Ive been on there a while but not really used it until today and it seems very confusing - is it just me?? (maybe im too used to facebook

) Is it useful?

Yes, there is that but I don't think it's at all useful for serious networking.

It's great for finding old work buddies and also quite useful for research on people, but not great for finding new contacts as it discourages contact with people you don't know.

I'm interested to see all your opinions on Linkedin. I've been on it for a while but haven't really spent much time figuring out how it works. And it does take some figuring out doesn't it? Thought I was missing something, but maybe not.

I know several people on it, its seems like a glorified facebook to me (zero use to you from a business sense) but good for wating time and looking up people etc.

I've never had any business or leads via LinkedIn, but I have had one via Facebook that proved very lucrative! I think the problem with LinkedIn is that everyone is that people don't know how to use it, I've got a 100% profile (i.e. 2 recommendations and all the details filled in) and my profile has only been viewed once in the last 25 days. However, I'm persevering, and we'll see what happens. I intend to 'spend' all my Introductions and InMail's and see what comes back.
