What Do you do when someone nicks your copy?

Guys and Gals!

Has anybody nicked off with your web copy? Its happened to me and I don't know what I can do about it, I've written to the offender via email requesting "she" amend it and aint heard a dicky bird from her. Does anyone know what you can do to stop it happening again? Appreciate any help!

They have breached the copyright law. If it's word for word then you have a case. If its slightly amended then it will be a little more difficult.

I am not qualified to give you proper advice but I am sure someone (other than us) will be along soon

Thanks Kay, well they lifted large sections and changed a few words - basically it looks like they took my page source into a html editor and amended a few bits cause they even used my background and box and some images! (Though the images were pre-sold selling images they could argue they bought independently like I did but its obvious they just nicked em from my web page.

you could try protecting the images and text and hiding the source code. People are less likely to copy it if they cant actually lift it.
