Default Calling the Ebook writers amongst you

What are you using to create images of your ebooks?

Nothing sells an ebook as well as a very visual 3d image of the book on your website (or at least that's what I've been led to believe).

So how do you create yours?

I've seen a few packages already but it's always good to get advice from existing users.

Thanks

Mike

PS - If anyone is doing this successfully with Xara I'd be very intereted as I'm already a heavy Xara user to making use of an existing tool is generably preferable to buying yet another peice of software.

I don't write eBooks (yet) but in terms of creating a 3D book image you can do that sort of thing in Photoshop. A video example is here...

Very easy to do in Photoshop as above, however, IMO I don't think the above vid looks particularly real,

That one looks much more realistic, and in proportion.

Mike I use armand morins ecovergenerator but only for quickies...used for free gifts.

For serious stuff...i have a macroset with lots of options... for photoshop which takes an image/cover layout then does a clever set of manipulations to create bending, projection, light shine, photo real shadows and so on.

Will dig out the name of the product, but this is really good - cost around $80 frommemory

Thanks. I think I know the one you mean as it kept coming up in my searches (photo action or something like that)

I've found a couple of packages that are stand alone and I'm trying them out at the moment. I'll post up my thoughts when I'm done testing.
