Have become famous in Italy.....................

I have had a stupid amount of hits from Italy over the last few days and have absolutely no idea why.

Unfortunately the site doesn't support orders for Italy at the moment, so I can't take their business. Have had a lot of emails asking if they can order.

How can I find out why the site is receiving so many visits from this part of the world.

At a guess, someone's put a link and/or a hotlinked image on a forum somewhere and your site's being pinged everytime the page loads.

I don't think it's just that - he's actually getting people placing orders, which is unlikely to happen if they are just hotlinking an image...

why dont you drop an email and ask the customers wher they found the link to your site?

Have you not got a stats package or Google analytics set up so you track where all your recent traffic is coming from?

If ther are enough worth doing, why dont you say that you are surveying all none UK buyers who, if reply, get entered into a draw for a gadget, or receive 10% discount off next order. Doesnt look like you are prying then.

Sort out your site so that you can take their orders! Your losing a lot of business and potentiol growth from who they tell!!

I've had loads of orders from Turkey

in the past couple of weeks, looking at google stats it appears to come from a Turkish blogger who has done a write up on my site and its sent lots of customers my way. Sort your site out to accept the orders your missing out there!!!
