I need to get business insurance that covers me for online selling at holding stalls at fairs. Ive been trying to contact Axa, but can't get a hold of anyone to speak to, so got fed up. Can anyone recommend a decent insurer?

When I worked in insurance we used Event insurance, if I'm correct they give you the option for either one event/stall or a yearly policy.

I heard somewhere (can't remember where) that the National Market Traders Federation offers reasonably priced public liability insurance for people running market stalls, craft fairs etc.

I've had a look through my AXA stuff and have come up with this number 0845 758 1076 ... press 2 ... ignore request for an extension number then press 1.
Hopefully it's a different number to the one that you've had no success with ... fingers crossed.
I had huge probs getting my insurance so I had to get two separate lots.
Barclays - for the online and party side of things
Combined Market Traders Insurance Association (www.cmtia.co.uk) - for craft/market stalls etc.
Having said that, most of my problems were related to the fact that everything's fairtrade and they didn't know what categories to put things into. Was a nightmare actually
Good luck getting it sorted!
