    Default Oooooooooo, driving me nuts!

I'm trying to add my logo to a Facebook fan page for my new forum but it looks worse than sh*** lol- it's all blury and out of focus. I've tried messing around with different formatts and resolutions etc but it still looks the same. It's probably something really simple but stuff for web usage isn't really my strong point. Any ideas on what might be causing this and how I can get a sharper image?

Have you created the logo yourself?

Yes, obviously I'm only usually designing for print so this isn't my usual thing. I've just found something which gives the optimal sizing for logos on fan pages which is 600x200 pixels but even that doesn't work...I don't know whether you'll be able to see it from this link as I haven't published it yet but have a go and you'll see what I mean! http://www.facebook.com/pages/edit/?...s/199625683899

I've tried jpg, png, and giff, none appear to work and the image still looks awful! It displays fine everywhere else though so that's why I can't get my head around it!

probably wont do anything, but is it worth publishing it to see how it looks live, and also log out and log back in. try anything once. Mine's a jpeg 1811 x 487 and it displays just fine.

Is the original design file done in Photoshop or Illustrator?

When you are in the original design file at its highest resolution (eg, 300dpi for print), go to file > save for web...then select your format JPG medium or PNG.

    You should notice a difference

Thanks Kay- I never had time to finish it last night so didn't resolve it but I'm about to have another go at it now. The logo was designed in Illustrator but I'll just import it into Photoshop and have a play about with it there. I saved the FB place holder for the logo which is oblong (height being bigger than width) and the logo is the other way around in dimensions meaning it's wider than it's taller so maybe that's something else I'll have to jiggle about with!

Use gifs for flat colour. jpegs using flat colour tend to be noticably more degraded.
