Hi folks,

Need to amke some very basic changes to website......
What is best way to do this....simply wish to add our new 0800 telephone number to the site along with maybe change some of the jpegs

time to take a deep breath and jump in

Thanks for the reply.....I imagine it would look better to replace the mobile number? am happy for it to remain if there is room

I was simply going to update the old templates to fresh it up a little maybe 10 or so?

Trying to do things in little steps....dont particulary like the pop up widow as it is...the original brief was for a rotating example of that kind of work (business cars, loyalty card, photo id ect ect) but as ever it wasnt delivered

Am thinking that small changes to the site will freshen it up and maybe bring it to a point where a revamp will not cost the earth

when it comes to getting the 'revamp' sorted, you are best off deciding what your budget is and asking what you could get for that amount, with different quotes and ideas, you will know what to expect.

Without moving and it into squashing the header, it would be best to replace that number as the space is limited; your contact page can show all the available numbers but the header is more the main 'call to action' number.

Are the images all on the same page?

not too sure of the make up of the site to be honest...I know it is a dreamweaver site...was just going to take a look around the ftp...I would imagine the images would all be in a single folder wouldnt they?

I agree....best to change the homepage phone number to the 0800 number

Atthe minute the budget would be coming out of my own pocket....so pretty much zero..... its the same vicious circle again of needing a website capable of generating some revenue, but trying to avoid the 'moneypit' trap again (been bitten big time previously).

Just done a quick survey and in all there are 15 images across 3 pages that need doing although 3 images are duplicated across all 3 pages so not sure how it works

Am going to take a dip into the ftp files and have a nose around

I assume it is best to make a copy of the files 1st before playing around?
