On previous websites I have always used statcounter.com but I am wondering if there is anything else new or better or similar I could try for the new website?
I would want to track the usual things: keywords used, search engines, visitor paths etc
I suppose there is nothing wrong with statcounter but I was thinking there might be something new I need to try out
yes, we've been using statcounter for about 8 years, and does the job very well, although google analytics is something that people also like as it provides flashy charts and graphs that people think are pretty.
from an ecommerce perspective it also calculates conversions, which the free version of statcounter does not (last time i looked)
the leader in this software however is nedstat check it out for yourself.
I was involved in installing this behind a massive uk online business directory about 6 months ago, and the information is very powerful and can be customised.
