Fill your boots mate, it's driving me crazy. There has to be a trick to it, I have downloaded the old gif of the buttons and it is 3.42KB and I created a new one, excatly the same but with less texture but when I save for web it's 7.32KB is the smallest I can get it.

Hi Sally,

Getting files to optimise is a little tricky. Keep the source file in PSD (as always) and do a quick save as. Once that is done, flatten it and then save.

- Save as jpg - you can slide your res bar
- Save as png - higher quality as it keeps a lot more colours
- Save for web (ctrl D) - another way

To be honest, 7.32k is not big at all.

Send the file in PSD for me and I will try to see which method is best when I have a few moments spare.

Hi Kay, I can't find a slidey bar anywhere. I have done the best I can and will try again tomorrow.

I am just trying to understand it to be honest, most of the images are gif's and they are so big compared to the previous ones, yet they are the same image.
