I'm designing a flyer design and the customer has sent me some really nice pics but they were taken with a mobile phone but when I blow them up they look terrible so now I'm in need of a stock image as he needs the design by Friday . I've tried all the usual places (istock, dreamstime etc) but there just doesn't appear to be any ANYWHERE! The message he's trying to convey is that the poles can reach up to 3 stories high. There are loads of images of window cleaners abseiling down building etc but I'm really struggling to find what I'm looking for with this one! HELP!!!
Something like this would do nicely. This is one of the ones the customer sent to me but is too small to blown up for its purpose!
Nickie, If your client supplies the images he/she will also have to make sure that the property release form has been signed if there are identifiable addresses (street signs, house numbers, names etc)
The stock sites have this clause already covered when photos are submitted.
Can he or she send you decent quality images in the format you require?
The composition and cropping could also be sharper and a photo from a digital camera can be manipulated much better than from a phone in almost all cases - wording this so that you client agrees will be the hardest bit.
Have also searched all the usual stock sites I visit and cannot find anything suitable either.

Yeah I've gone over all this with him and as he knows the people who live in these properties and the flyers are going to distributed in the next county the customers have given him consent to use the images. To be fair though, he's gone to some effort to avoid them being identifiable anyway as you can see from the pic above. I also made it absolutely crystal that they were not to be taken with a mobile phone but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Never had a problem finding a suitable stock image before.......maybe I should take some and submit them myself- someone's missing out on a bomb here. My own window cleaner was telling me the other day that people just can't understand the WFP system and he's always having to explain it to them. Since the new working at height regulations came in (I think last year sometime) most have switched to this method but generally speaking people don't appear to understand the concept and its advantages regarding safety. An image like that above appears to be the only way people might begin to understand.
Yeah that's an idea Fee although I doubt he'd be up to the added costs lol. The stock image would prob only cost me about a tenner max and I certainly wouldn't expect Fuzzy to produce something with that lol. I'll certainly suggest it to him though...it's going to have to be sorted tomorrow either way. It really bugs me that I go to all this effort explaining to people that tiny pics taken with mobile phones just won't cut it in print but I might as well be talking to the wall lol!
