Default Software for building a sitemap?

Not an XML sitemap.

I need to plan out our new company website and we've got a few hundred product lists/categories etc that we are re-arranging. Can anyone recommend some software to plan it out?

I've started just putting it in Excel but I'm sure there must be something more effective than this? Any other Microsoft apps that might do a better job?

Cheers

The MS Word outliner tool (part of Word) can sometimes be handy for structuring and planning large lists/documents/information, since it allows you to collapse levels, move items around, etc.

Your ecommerce system itself, with its category and product content management system (moving categories and products around), should also help with this task, and it then means you only enter the information once.

If its database backed it shouldn't be too hard to code a page which outputs the general outline of the site.
