Hi

I have a picture (My Avatar) and I want to remove the purple back ground.

How would I do this?

Hi

I'm not sure which version of Paint Shop Pro you have, but try using the Magic Wand tool to select all the purple, then either delete it or fill it in with another colour.

You might need to experiment with the settings a bit.

You can use the flood fill tool. Just select the colour you want to replace it with and then click. You can zoom in to get the trickier areas

I did use the flood fill buckety thing.

It's still purple

The Avatar is staying purple, I was trying to put together some headed paper.

Ok I admit I was trying to come up with something to print on my new printer

Nicky if you save your image as an Alpha Transparency .gif.

you can use the image on any coloured background.
