my normal website is sitting to the left, and because i have a java menu i can't shift that if i centralise the site.
I'm going to widen the site so it fit's screens better.
instead of have the top banner made up of 6 or 7 images, i've combined them into one to make things easier by this has altered the images below the banner creating a gap and i'm not sure on the code to get rid of this gap.
i've created a duplicate homepage to play around with. Any help on the coding is appreciated, thanks.
you will see on the following page what i mean by the images being out of place, there are a few.

i did it in an online wizard, i thought i'd check here first.
i was thinking of just redoing it in dreamweaver on a css like u say..but i need to drum up some motivation to spend an evening doing it!

It would be good if you redo it using css, like Mike said.

ok i'm finally getting somewhere with this. all looks good in firefox2 (it won't let me update to 3, the site is not working so if anyone has a link to the download that would be great)
anyway, this is what i have so far- done in tables i know, but i'm not knowledgable enough for css

the problem i'm having is the background image doesn't appear in IE. i read it's somthing to do with me having merged cells before i put the image in. can anyone tell from the source code what the problem is?
the file it is concerning is: /img/base/ba58.gif
and thank you for the design offer, i think my logo is fine for now
Hey,
I am not insulting your current design but it seems you Java menu is coursing too many problems, also people are not too fond of it in your feedback post.
I think you should concentrate on a simple horizontal nav menu with a nice css rollover.
Having the design stretch 100% then your content maybe at 800px width. You can display sub links on the page after they have clicked them, make a feature of them by accompanying them with images.
I knocked up a quick screenshot, I think this style and method would be a lot easier and maybe more affective.
