Wordpress theme help
Hi
Does anyone know of a wordpress theme (paid or free) that can do similar to the one used here by Gary Vaynerchuck . I need to select a 'featured' video and have it appear either on it's own on a (static) front page or, like Gary's, with summaries of other posts underneath. The site needs to be able to do lots of text blogging too (on a blog page) so themes like 'TV Elements' won't work. Suggestions gratefully received - thanks!

To my knowledge there isn't any themes that do this out of the box (although I might be wrong) but most can modified to do this.

My own thought is to create a WordPress page template that lists the contents of just one category (a video category) - it could quite sophisticated or simple depend on your absolute requirements, but it's easy stuff to do and looks like what was done here.
You shouldn't actually have to mess about with the theme too much, but that depends :-) We've done lots of single front page sites with our Blend theme (http://demo.spectacu.la/blend) but it may not be what you're after. More to come though... Last edited by Interconnect IT; 20-08-2008 at 15:08.

Thanks, InterconnectIT - I think you're right... I came across a WP plugin for placing posts of just one category on a page... might be the solution. Love the look of your Blend theme - runs off to investigate.

Excellent stuff - which plugin did you use? There's so many out there that I miss them at times... Would be handy for some clients.
