Is anyone aware of a way in which I can make photos available for download to the public but in a way that won't allow them to be edited?
I don't want people to be able to crop, resize or change the photo in anyway at all, but I do need them to be able to upload the photo to sites like Flickr, MySpace and Facebook.
I don't want to use any kind of water marking becuase I need the photo to be clear but I want to be able to put another graphic on the photo that can't be removed.
Has anyone got any ideas?

There's no way of doing this that I'm aware of. If there was then you can almost guarantee that the big photo stock sites would be using it already. You could always do what istock do and watermark the thumbnails and use rollovers as the clearer images (without the watermark) and that way people can only save the tiny watermarked thumbnails in 72dpi which are almost impossible to do anything with (unless you're prepared to spend ages with the clone stamp of course)!
Without going into too much detail I wanted to see if there was a way of preventing people from removing a graphic from a photo (i.e. a logo) or croping it off the image.

Yer I did realise that. But this is more about making it harder to edit the image rather than to prevent completely.

Yep me too . Do you mean the images are free to download but you will still own the copyright and therefore the images can't be used/ reproduced in their full form and you therefore want to prevent them being edited so that 'bits' of them can be used in other edited images? I'm confused- don't take much these days!
