    Default Colours for a Website

Looking for three colours for my new website. The website is a directory of UK conference venues.

    Any ideas ?

    Colour codes would be fab!

    Hi Keymo,

Definitely use the colour palettes that Entro suggested. They're really useful.

I found this article quite interesting: http://www.searchengineguide.com/jac...ing-design.php

It has some valid points about choosing colour schemes:
    • Don't use too many colours - 3-4 in the main design, including text
    • Use high contrast shades and colors, especially for text backgrounds - make sure the colours match one another
    • Use colors consistently in the same places to indicate the same things
    • Avoid red
    • Get ideas from other websites that you like
    • Keep it professional looking
Let us know what you decide on!

also suggest using kuller extension from Adobe for getting popular colour schemes.

Or...if you've seen something you like elsewhere, download colourzilla- a Firefox addon and simply point the eye dropper at the colour on the page and it'll give you the hex code!

Ask Al, he knows all about colours regarding websites, although I didn't listen to him.
Fancy a cartoon for your business?

How about a cartoon caricature, a unique present for that hard to buy for person?
