Database connection problems
Just decided to install Wordpress following a suggestion from Ray to blog about a work in progress site.
All downloaded and installed, but I get a message saying "Error establishing database connection" when I go to the blog page.
I hate it when technology gets the better of me :sad1:. Anyone any ideas how to fix the connection problem, please? (I have changed the config file and have checked, double checked and triple checked that I have entered the information correctly!)

Have you checked that the settings in the wp config file are the same as your db log on?
Are you referring to the database information contained with the config file? If so, yup, I have checked that over and over and they're the same. The only thing I am wondering is whether my password is being encrypted in control panel and so it is not matching the one in the config file.

Well I fixed it and I now have my very own blog. Trust me to pick a German theme, though. Took me half the night to translate it into English
