    Hi folks

    Does anyone use Live Chat on their website and if so which software do you use that comes as a recommendation.

    I don't use any but if I did, I would use this, http://www.livezilla.net/home/

    I've seen it on a few sites and its free. Does the job from the consumer end and I can't imagine its much different on the operator end.

    Cheers for that! It's for a client and it will be manned during office hours.

    I think that's the worse offence when adding one of these to your site - being offline during office hours! What's that all about??!! It's nearly as bad as folk that don't reply to emails!

    I know what you mean about that. No point in having one unless you can man it all the time, at least during office hours.

    I do prefer live text rather than calling, so I can see these things getting more popular. Ones that are never online are going to lose out.

    Sandra,

    We are just trialing Liveperson. Literally signed up today. So far it looks good.

    We were introduced to it by Ari Galper. He did say that he can supply people trained to man the chat as well but we pan to do it ourselves initially.
