    I would agree wholeheatedly with Walsharoo [and probably that chap that Indizine agreed with as well!] particularly - as you stated - it is not your area of prime expertise. But you also need to help them in the hours of the day when you wouldn't otherwise be earning; if you help them in your prime earning time and then get busier they won't understand why you still can't help them.

    If, for example, you were my mate and you wanted advice on your hearing I would willingly tell for nothing but if you then chose to buy a hearing aid from me I'd have to charge you for that but just the rate it cost me.

    If they insist on rewarding you for your effort, let them know your favourite tipple or perfume - then it just becomes "a little thankyou".

    stuff that deals with money can turn messy... I dont recommend charging friend moeny to do such simple stuff. However, you might want to consider writing a simple Ebook with detail text and picture showing step by step.. to teach them how to do the stuff and just sell them the guide for a 1 time £20?
