Default Hosting Multiple Domains On One Hosting Package

Ok, so you have several domain names that you want to create individual pages for. This obviously requires a hosting account which allows you to host multiple domains on one account. Heart have this package which is actually a Reseller package - it provides all the same features as the Business Professional package, except it does not include virus protection (this is available at an additional cost) and of course there is the ability to host multiple domains on one hosting account. They provide excellent service and this would seem the most cost effective option. What would the web hosting experts here recommend? Thanks.

Who's your current host? I believe Phil allows you to host multiple domains via the 'addon domain' function on some of his hosting packages

I can vouch for Phil's hosting having been with him for 3+ years now

All too easy to take money from my account and deposit in his.

I have multiple domains hosted and maintained from the Helm control panel. Idiot-proof some might say (although Phil might disagree.. )

I have a heart internet reseller account which will not be renewed in august.

There are many good things to say about Heart Internet and they are far from the worst but I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The servers are slow and they keep on moving domains around their machines, while this doesn't interfere with many people if you have any domains linked by A record then these will become unlinked. The worst thing about this is you get no warning before they start moving stuff around.

Also their support is crap IMO.

If you really want to get good hosting then consider the VPS route, bytemark are great and Im very happy with them.

An A record is simply a DNS zone that points a domain name towards a server. Normally you don't have to worry about this as you just point the domain at the name servers for the host and they do all the DNS manipulation.

As Khalid mentioned above, all of your plans come with multi-domain hosting allowing you to host more than one site under one account.

Don't confuse this with domain aliases which is where you point two or more domain names at the same site, we offer unlimited numbers of those

Please do give me a call though if you would like to have a chat about what you are after on 08456 445 789

Another vote for Phil at OpenMind Hosting - his service is Fab (he hosts this Forum for me)

And as Phil has said above you can host multiple sites with his packages
