Offshore hosting
Quick question...is it a bad idea to have a UK-based website hosted on a US-based server? If so, why?

1) If you are not using a .uk domain name, google won't list you in the google UK search listings.
2) Offshore hosting can be slower for your users than UK based hosting depending on where it is.
