Have just spent yonks going through tutorials and cant find anywhere how to centre align pages in dreamweaver.. I am hoping that some kind soul out there will take pity on me and tell me the secret
Hi Max, I'm no Dreamweaver expert but check you're in the right view. can't remember which one it is but it'll only work in standard view I think. Go to the property inspector and there should be a drop down menu that says 'align' and under there it'll give you the option to centralise the page. Someone will probably give you a much better explanation than this but it's worth a try in the meantime. Like I said I don't claim to be an expert lol!
ha ha... but I was doing these before in publisher as basic web sites... very basic!!! and these suited the needs of my customers who were mostly our subcontractors and colleagues
Maxine, in that case a very worthwhile book, in my humble opinion, is CSS, The Missing Manual.
I think it's probably the best off-the-shelf guide to designing with CSS. Before this firm I was a developer, rather than designer, but needed to get quickly up to speed - it's probably the best book I've come across for learning to do things the 'right' way. Dreamweaver is a fine enough tool for many, but I feel that you need an understanding of how to do it without DW first if you want to make the most of the software.
