Taking pictures with mobile phones

Anyone a whizz with a mobile? I have a Nokia 6300 and want to take photo's over here to upload to my blog but I have no idea how to do it.

What do I need in order to be able to download the photo's to my laptop?

Any tips on taking good quality photo's with a mobile?

Surprised no-one has answered you yet Sal, so I will.

How many megapixels does your Nokia have? The lower the number the less likely the photos will be any good. (my phone has only 1 mp and its photos are crap; 4+ should be OK).

To connect to your laptop you can use Bluetooth depending whether your laptop has it or you have a dingle, but a USB cable is fine if you have one with the right connections for your phone. Then just use Windows Explorer to drag and drop.

the nokia 6300 usually comes with all the software and usb cable for you.

With Nokia, Lifeblog, and a bit of clever WP hackery it's actually possible to even post directly to your blog from your phone.

But it really is hackery and it'll take a couple of hours of our time with no guarantee of success... You can also use e-mail posting. There's some other solutions too.

My phone is 2 megapixels - is that crappy?

I am sure I have the cable and software ...... back at home in the box (that would be England home not here home)

You got software and usb while bought this mobile, you first have to install software in PC and then attach your USB cable with mobile and PC too. Using this software you can save your pics to PC.

if you want to add pic to blog directly first you have to active GPRS and set settings for server port number, user name passwords, server port name and then you would be able to post your pic to blog.

Sally, I have a Nokia N95 latest version and its dead easy.

You just install the software plug in the cable and it downloads automatically.

If I can do it, anyone can

Hi Sally, I have Nokia N70 and it's so easy to transfer all your photos to PC. All you need to do is install the Nokia software in your PC and just connect the USB Cable and that's it.

I found a solution, I got the Samsung G600 with 5 megapixel cam and so easy to transfer to computer (even I could do it). Ok now to find something interesting to photograph, been so long I have forgotten what I wanted it for!!
