Default MSM nightmare!

This is probably such a silly question, but since its driving me , would appreciate some help.

I recently installed what I think was microsoft freebie, which allows you to talk to people when they are on line. I quickly binned it since it was useless (prefer skype), and two things have changed. Firstly, my internet browser opens in MSM instead of google and the darn sign on box keeps coming up for this microsoft thing. Help please as no idea how to fix this

Hi Nina...What browser are you using???

If IE first get google showing and any other pages you want to start automatically then go

Tools > Internet Options > Then on the General Tab up the top you will see a button saying "Use Current" Click that. Done

In Firefox first get google showing and any other pages you want to start automatically then go

Tools > Options > Main Tab...use current pages. OK

As for MSM I believe it can be stopped from loading but is hard to get rid off completely, especially if you are using Outlook...others will be along to help there.

May I ask what you didnt like about MSN I have used this form of communication for many years with success , Also the only reason why msn would have changed your browser settings is because that when installing msn messenger it asks you if thats ok so you must have said yes and not unticked the options.

I have nothing against it (messenger).....met my partner using it...just dont use it anymore and got annoyed with it popping up everytime i started outlook. Then it just became personal
