well we can supply you with a great adsl router for Netgear Model with a built in modem for £45.00+vat Free Delivery Alvin just let me know buddy and dont go tesco for one this time lol

Thanks guys I have just remembered I had a lot of trouble with my home broadband using a usb modem then I switched service to one where they supplied a router.

By George I thing you wizards of the high tec world may have pinpointed the problem.

I will report back when it has been changed and if successfull mars bars will be on there way.

One small addendum, are the telephone sockets in your house (the ones being used) filtered? (ADSL Micro-Filters)

This is rather important, as it helps cut down line interference, which could have been part of the problem.

Also, some users need to locate their connection into the Master Socket. This is identified by a plate splitting the socket in two...

Alvin, I'm not sure how long you have had your ADSL Micro-filters, but its advisable to replace these at least every couple of years. I had some problems and replaced the filters and it did run better so maybe something for you to consider

For the sake of a few pounds it's also worth buying high-quality ones. I've seen connection speed double as a result.
