I seem to have a problem with my internet connection, it's been happening for a few weeks now :sad1:
Basically I log on and it tells me it can't connect, so off I go turning everything off, re-booting the modem, unplugging cables then turn everything back on again for it still not to work.
So I then clear all the internet history etc throw a wobbly at the modem and leave it for a couple of hours, then it works.
But it is really doing my head in

Who is your internet service with is it through a phoneline like with BT,Tiscal,AOL or is it cable like Virgin Media,
Are you connecting directly to the modem or are you using a router hun ,
The phone line is with BT but apparently I pay AOL every month for the internet. My partner deals with it I just DEMAND that it works
It plugs in at the back if it helps

Normally, the first thing I would say do is change provider!!!!
However, if you use the internet a lot, invest in router, that way, you will not have to 'log in' every time you ant to use the internet. This also prevents issues with the AOL software occuring and you can remove all of their horrible software from your PC, as the router is always connected (well, it should be!)!
Nicky there has been major work on all the major lines throughout the UK for the last 2 months, last I heard it was due to be finished tomorrow, thats probably the problem.
If a router means ur logged on all the time, then we must have one of them. I hate using AOL button so only use internet explorer.
Hopefully it shall work fine form now on, fingers crossed
