I would like to start a monthly update on my site but should i add it to the homepage or create another page?

What are you going to be adding?
If you want to improve your SEO, then you need to start looking at your basics: Title tags H1 tags Meta tags Work on those for starters. I'd also concentrate on the page too. You've got a search bar for MSN Search on there. Why? Let MSN advertise their search, you don't want to have a reason for people to be leaving your site...
