Pages aren't nofollow - it is the links to them....

So Do you mean "no follow" or is it "no robots to scan the page?"

there is some really good information here. Robots exclusion is NOT something to be 'played with'. Get it wrong and it can kill your site.

I have placed a page up but don't want google to index it at all. the page is purely for showing images to someone else. there are no links from anywhere else leading to it. and none leading out either

Given this, I would use robots.txt to exclude all spiders, plus, I would add htaccess (password) security to the directory so that anyone viewing will require a username and password.

Its very simple and takes moments to set-up.

I think he meant to type

"I have a htaccess but don't KNOW what to add to it to do what you say "

PI Guy, have you visited the link I posted/ it is clear there what to do. it REALLY is simple, which is why it is dangerous to mess with HTACCESS robots exclusion as if you get it wrong at that level you can block the spiders from ALL of your site
