Hi Fuzz

Is this for personal or business? If in a networked office I would go for Outlook.

I also use Outlook for my business email even though it just one home PC. One feature i use quite a bit is the contacts to easily create mailshots in word/excel.

However it might be overkill so perhaps run with Mail until you really need Outlook, by then microsoft may have released a new version saving you having to upgrade.

Sorry I might have made you more confused than before

I've found this article which may give you more insight:

I would go for an Outlook or Thunderbird most especially if it's for business matters.
