Default Email Trojan/Virus

Is there something partic nasty going around. Yesterday night on booting up my PC outlook has behaved terribly, and this morning when I booted up my screen was pixelated and segmented.

I have AVG, and run adware regularly, but was wondering if there was something around that could have snuck past.

Kind regards
Sandra

It's very unlikely that any virus or trojan would cause pixelation or segmentation, viruses no longer seek attention by doing odd things to your screen, they're now dedicated to stealing passwords, financial information or taking remote control without you knowing. It's possible you're suffering from a hardware fault. Take a look at your event log (start > run > eventvwr > [enter]) and look at the system application log, you're looking for error events. Let me know what you see, happy to help if I can.

Mmmm .. odd. Wasn't anything from a bittorrent or similar site? Any joy trying to check the event log?
