Web stats packages
HI
There are lots of various different posts about web stats packages, but I am asking here, in one thread, which are the ones that you would most recommend from experience, for comprehensiveness and reliability. Clicky is one that seems to be making an impression at the moment. (And, to make it interesting, lets leave analytics out of it!) Kind regards Sandra

SmarterStats from www.smartertools.com
We've used it for the hosting customers since v1 and the latest release is the dogs furry parts. I also know somewhere you can get it cheap

awstats for me....
love it and it is very easy to use. many hosts now have this as standard...

We started out with AWStats as a host many years ago. We binned it eventually simply as SS gave a much more detailed and flexible output.
That and the processing power requirement for AWStats is much higher as SS is distributed across the servers...

Many of my acquaintences have begun to use smarter stats. They seem to prefer it over awstats.

I use google analytics and it's great, but it doesn't tell me how many people are leaving my site via a specific link. And that's what i'm after, the page itself isn't what i'm looking for, its the use of the link off the page as an exit point.
