My husband has just installed 'Office Publisher', and lost our email!!!

He has therefore uninstalled it, but we cannot find our email at all. It was located by clicking the start, then Microsoft Office Outlook.

I just cannot understand what is happening here, and since we receive bookings each day by email, we are losing work.

Would really appreciate some help here guys

Firstly don't panic, because you can probably access all your emails off the webmail account for whoever has your pop3.

I'm now off to remember where outloook stores the pst file, and how to reinstate it.

What is missing - the Outlook Icon, the outlook (.pst) file...?

Have you looked in/do you have start|Microsoft Office?

OK, i'm officially no use now, as I have set my outlook to backup to the external e-drive, so all the default settings are gone. I do remember though that the file sits somewhere weird.

Yes, start and email. That is still there, but instead of getting my email I get the Internet properties box up

Search your computer for all pst files (search for *.pst), but includes all locations. Should pop up with your file. Then link outlook to the file.

Also check your trash can

Someone has very kindly taken over our computer, and found that by adding the new software, the email configeration was knocked out! He did say its very unusual for this to happen, but thank goodness it is now working.
