Having someone in another contactable by UK phone number

If I have someone doing some work for me in another country.

Any suggestions on the best way of allowing them to "appear" in the UK

I thought of a skype in number - where a skype user gets a phone number allocated and the caller doesn't know the difference

Any other suggestions?

VoIP - and you can choose a geo local number if you mean the appearnace of the caller display number.

I have just spent the weekend getting all our family on skype - (some of this via the telephone...) so I am all skyped/voiped out...

well im with plusnet for broadband and thought I would have a dabble with their VoIP but I havent been successful in setting it up.

I cant dial in or out and it got me frazzled last week - it actually cost me more in my time than I would have saved anyway, so when I viewed it that way, I just deleted it. So I cant recommend anyone.

The only reason I am not using a skype number is because they dont do Doncaster and I dont want to confuse people with a Sheffield number! Otherwise I would go for skype every time.

If I use a sheffield telephone code on my business card, website, etc it then prompts the question "are you based in sheffield?" to which I then I would have to explain "no, I use a skype number with a sheffield code - I am based in Doncaster". Just cant see the point in all of that.
