Has anyone had a problem with their printers since getting Vista
I know my printer isn't brand new now (it's a Canon Pixma MP500) but I downloaded the latest driver from Canon and it seemed ok. However, after using Vista for a couple of weeks I started to have a problem and Dell told me it was an incompatible printer.
Surely if I have the updated driver that shouldn't cause the problem and is there any good ways to find out what software could be causing a conflict?
yep, no drivers for vista... making one of my printers, useless... luckily I also have an XP machine, so it still has it's uses.
I can't believe Microsoft have made an O/S that has so many incompatibilities.. some software will not load, even if you right click on the properties and change it to XP compatible, and run as administrator.
Oh, what a shame, I have 3 printers and all ok, but guess they are fairly new. Thankfully printer prices have come down and wireless options are even better now

I had the same issue with my canon pixma ip4000 on Vista. I had Vista running for 3 days and uninstalled it for XP. I had lots of trouble with networking and getting it to recognise USB hubs.
