Could any computer experts on here tell me how much I can upgrade the memory on my Toshiba P100-160.
Currently has 1GB and gets rather slow when the alot of apps are running.
I'm thinking of 4GB, but will it still work?
DT, one of the laptops I have is a Tosh and had 3GB put in, works fine and dandy. 4 GB was soo much more expensive

DT it has 2 slots so can take 2 x 2gb chips, inc vat they are around £30 each plus delivery.
have you looked at how much virtual memory you have because 1gb should be fine for most stuff

Ram helps speed up applications, do you know what sort of resources you are using at the moment (check task manager)
Microsofts answer to everything a while back was add more ram. It certainly helps but if you have a slow processor then you'll not notice too much difference. there is always something that will be a bottleneck.
for the cost its certainly something I would do, make sure you go for the 4 gb though, it always works better in pairs.
Kingston, Crucial, we buy and sell them both with very few returns (sometimes Ram fails straight from the box because it is fragile.) ensure you are static free when holding and fitting it.
