The main reason I'm here is to do some research.

My main area of interest work wise is Website Design Consultancy and I have a total of 4 years experience with related aspects of this industry (I taught myself to start designing/coding 4 years ago, since then I have 1 year of experience working for a company, plus an additional year occasionally freelancing).

I am adept with (X)HTML/CSS (as any web designer worth their salt should do in my opinion), a stickler for implementing standards (accessibility, validity and compatibility) and the main programming languages I work with include PHP and Java Script.

While I'm here I shall try and answer some threads if I think I can contribute any useful information.

I'm hoping to gather some market research, on the quiet by monitoring posts to take note of particular trends, but I would also like to ask some members to complete a small survey or two (which I will post in a topic when my post count is high enough to post URL's to my surveys).

Seems I get a better response when I direct people to a survey using a service such as survey monkey rather then asking them to either post their responses or PMing me.

Not my only reason for joining though, since I've added the new post feed for this place along with a small selection of other business forums to Google Reader to scan in case I find any useful information or think I can offer some helpful advice

well yeah survey software makes it quick and easy for people to help you.

but becoming a regular also gets more people helping you out.
