I'll introduce myself, My name is Scott, the username "scottscorsa" is very dated but simple, i've been using it for about 4 years now on various sites.
I've just turned 23 and feel my life is passing before my eyes.
I've been serving in Her Majesty's Armed Forces for almost 7 years now and i'm looking to leave and start my own business.
My Fiance and i are always looking of ways (legally ) to make extra cash. Ebay has helped slighty.
We're thinking of opening an internet cafe of some description.
Has anyone on here done anything similar.
I'm unsure what licenses would be needed to ensure its all done correctly. How would we register ourselves as an actual business?
It is a common misconception that you need some kind of license to start a business, what you do need to do is make sure you keep good records of your income and outgoings and notify your local tax office of your intentions who will (to the best of my knowledge) be able to send you some helpful information about how to understand your tax obligations.
Not sure anyone on here has an internet cafe, but a few members do run sandwich shops and the likes who may be able to give you some advise.
Look forward to hearing how you progress, make yourself at home.
Hi Scott and welcome to A1. You may find this secton helpful on this forum, any questions just shout. Love Fuzzy
