Here's my story. I had my own business for last 6 years in mortgage industry. Guess what, credit crunch had massive impact and after 6 years finally decided to get out. Managed to sell the business for small amount but better than nothing and have had a very good living out of it to date. But here's the crunch. Now what do I do ? My main skill is within the mortgage market which is to all intents and purposes closed right now. I need an idea. I have the time, I have the tenacity, I even have financial backing, can you believe it, but...can I have an idea ? If there is anyone out there brave enough to give me an idea for a moneyspinner which doesnt involve sending off cash now! Or pyramid schemes, or gambling on line....give me a clue! If only there was an ideas supermarket, I seem to have run dry! I suppose you get regular posts just like this one too ???

Welcome to the forum

I'm all out of ideas at the moment but one bit of advice is to find something you love doing, a hobby or something then explore that avenue.

Hello,

how about a website for people having problems or queries related to ££££ and mortgages.....with your expertise i would imagine a lot of people have questions that they want answering for free on a site dedicated to helping them with £.....

You could be called "the cash doctor"......

and give moneyexpert a run for its money.....

revenue from advertising.....

it is late and as usual my mind is full of nonsense.....but i am trying !!

I would make an appointment to see the cash doctor.

What about becoming an debt advisor helping people to sort out their finances and credit problems! Seems a good job to be in at the moment, not sure where the money would come from though to pay you!!!

Thank you and great minds think alike! In fact, I have already been working on the website for the past 4/5 weeks its called "Mortgage-Portal" and yes, the idea is to use my contacts - and I do know most of the organ grinders in the industry (well the ones that have still got jobs), to let other mortgage people know about all the services and extra income streams that they could draw on right now. It is including things like car finance, and does include debt advice and debt solutions! Advertising space is on offer. It should go live around September 1st. Im very lucky because my partner is an IT geek (method in my madness) and he is creating a fantastic site for me. ..and its quite interesting that you suggested same idea - spooky really - but like most women, I like to multi-task and one project is never enough!! Love the site so far.

Your going into a very high competition area and unless your IT guy really knows his SEO stuff.You are going to struggle to get on page 1 of google.

Having said that maybe you have other ideas as to where to get traffic from.?

ISA's will be even more popular over the next couple of yours, which is a shame, but business none the less. if you are going to promote debt solutions, sell the leads.
