Just joined thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Gail and I've been in business just over 12 months selling jewellery. We sell a range of jewellery including Sterling Silver, fashion jewellery and Swarovski Crystal. Although we sell a range of simple pieces we like to stock a range of pieces not readily available on the high street and at competitive prices.
We currently sell through craft fairs, but are trying to promote the party plan and virtual party side of the business. Any ideas appreciated. Unfortunately we haven't got the advantage of having a brand name like Virgin Vie.
Thanks for your comments. I have enquiried at a couple of shopping centres in the area and it is something that I may possibilby do in the future. Unfortunately the ones I have enquired about are quite expensive and most of the cash coming in at the moment is going on stock.
Its definetely something I'll be looking at though.

Well, why not send as many Christmas ecards as you like for only £5.99, save a fortune, put your company name on the message and be green at the same time
Good to hear feedback about the website, we've only been live a couple of months and its nice to hear what people think. Had some positive feedback/suggestions after posting in the 'Review Website' section as well.
As far as the photos are concerned you have no idea what we went through in the start to get some half decent photos. At the start the thought was 'how hard can it be to take photos of jewellery'. We soon found out. Several weeks of stress and a broken laptop (boyfriend got somewhat annoyed and threw the laptop) we went to Harrogate Trade Fair and found a company that sold light boxes. Expensive but definetely worth it as we now have the means of taking half decent photos. However, some of the photos on the website are from our suppliers but there are quite a few that we have taken eg the ones on stones and the Swarovski Crystal.

Well, I think you have done well.
I would guess you must edit your photos in Photoshop too? The danger when photographing jewellery is to over cook the highlights and lose detail. If your camera has a RAW format mode I would recommend saving your photos to RAW as that will give you a little more control when editing to compensate for over/under exposure. Also, focus when photographing close up is of course very important so try and use smaller apertures and slower shutter speeds (on a tripod which I am sure you must use) which will give you a better chance of getting the jewellery sharp and all in focus.
As I have said though, from what I have seen you have done a good job.
