Hi, people,

My name is Pete, I am British, live in the mountains near Malaga, southern Spain, and I work from home.

I am a web programmer - I create websites that "do things", often websites with thousands of pages, sometimes small sites. And I do it from home.

At the moment, I have to work from OUTSIDE the home, as we have builders in, so I work from the terraced area, in the shade, overlooking the pool and the mountains.

Did you know that some people queue in traffic for an hour to get to work, and spend all their time in a box! Now that's what I call crazy!

Currently, I am looking for non-investing non-techie partners to work from home, I have a couple of projects that I need help with. I have also just done a site for musicians, where a muso friend of mine is going to edit the site, and I am going to add all the interesting stuff like videos, music, gig lists, etc. And if anyone has an interest, whether it's embroidery or lion taming, I can set up and host a site for them, and we can split the profits.

My advice to anyone thinking of working from home - just go for it. It won't be as easy or as safe as working 9-5 for The Man, but it will certainly be more fun!

I am always interested in anything business related

PM with your thoughts on the Website design. I am interested in the Illustration and Design side of the creative world rather than the programming for a few months any how! (I am a programmer and business sole searcher by orginal trade).

I only get called Peter by my mother when I have been naughty.

So I guess that you have a fun life!!!

Incidentally, my neighbours call me Pedro, they find Pete a little... foreign

Pete, you are living my dream! I'm halfway there... started working from home last April and I will never go back! Looking to move to northern spain next summer. Have no idea how to make it happen but the wheels are in motion. (Any advice?) =)

I'ma freelance writer. Don't suppose you need any writers for any of your projects? :-)

Well, I live in the south - too cold and wet in the north for me - but much greener.

If you have made the move from the office to a sensible life, working from home (hey, it's eco-friendly as well!) then the move to Spain will be easy.

Have you decided where yet?

As to writers, well, of course we need writers. But you know what the next bit will be - there is no income until I get some partners in place!

What kind of broadband connection do you have out there?
