Neways thats my introduction and I hope i'm welcome
Hi Rui, you are very welcome to A1 and you will find it is a friendly forum.
Your site looks good and I think has a very nice and attractive 'fresh' look to it. Regarding your having a few problems with generating traffic, how are you going about generating traffic?
If you are dependent solely on people searching via Google then you will not be seen for anything other than your company name for which you are ranking first. The problem is that no-one other than people who know you already will search on that. Briefly for now, you will need to do some search engine optimisation (seo) on your site to be seen for the words people will be searching on, but in such a competitive market for clothing that will not be easy to do and will take time.
As this is the Introductions forum on A1, I suggest you ask for some further advice in the A1 SEO forum.
Hi Rui....there are a number of reasons limited your sites visibility, despite it being a visually pleasing and functional site - which I like.
1. The site fails accessibility checks - which means technically it is not legal. Like shops, websites have to comply with DDA rules, although as yet no one has to my knowledge been challenged, the search engines do notice it.
2. Coding - the code is not tidy. Quality coding does influence your sites performance in a number of ways.
3. Keywords - there is only limited text content containing key words. This means that the search engines dont see them as much.
However, before people leap on me, let me make some points. I am an e-commerce consultant (amongst other things!!), having some household names amongst my client list. I recognise these are technical points, and if your or your family built the site, I apologise for any offence caused - none was intended. If you have a web design company, they should understand these points, but should not have left the site as it is. The people to whom I refer web building assignments are amongst the top coding, accessibility and e commerce site builders in the world.
I am very willing to discuss these, and other points, with you either by email or phone. And, to re-assure you, I am not going to try to sell you anything, especially not SEO services. I would be willing to explain, jargon free, what I am advising!
