I did introduce myself sometime ago but setting the business up took all my time up so I didnt get to post anything else.
Anyway, I am a freelance Excel VBA programmer / Excel consultant offering a wide range services from formula designing to creating complete Excel based applications.
More details can be found on my site along with some free tutorials - the tutorials are a bit of a marketing experiment so your opinions would be more than welcome.
Have you ever thought of using video to explain these tips?
Also, what about a newsletter where you send out weekly excel tips?
I did this a couple of years ago with Word and I got my list up to over 40000 subscribers. Imagine how many potential customers you could get if you got a list that big for Excel users!
They are both ideas I already have on the back burner, my first priority is to build up some quality content so I can build up some quality links back to my site.
As well as providing a reason for people to return to my site, I am hoping by having lots of tutorials on various aspects of Excel I will be able to create a more natural way of building keywords in to my site.
If you have any recomendations for software for the either the video or the newsletter side of things they would be more than welcome.
Quality content does help! I run a (outdated) blog with lots of PHP tutorials/tips etc. It regularly gets thousands of visitors each month all v targetted!
Welcome to A1

In terms of software for making onscreen video tutorials, Camtasia and Adobe Captivate are two worth considering. Both are very capable. As Mike said, I am sure there would be a big interest in good quality Excel video tutorials. Although I know there is a lot of competition on the Internet for them also, they would be excellent for list building. VLOOKUP - now there's something for people to get their head around!
One thing re your website, in fact two... the text on my widescreen monitor is tiny, it could do with going up a couple of pixels and also, have you considered optimising your site for a monitor width of 1024 pixels rather than 800 pixels. There are not many 800x600 displays around these days.

All the best to you,

As per Peter's post. I second the vote for Camtasia as that is what I use.
Also agree on the font size. It's a lot smaller than most sites so it is noticably small.
Thanks all for the comments - all taken on board. The font size has now been bumped up as has the width of the page.
I have also set up a newsletter sign up facility. Starting next month I will be sending out newsletters containing tutorials, tips, tricks and suggestions.
